Things To Do in Barbados: Half-Day Bath Beach Train Line Hike + Lunch

Things To Do in Barbados- Hiking!

We found a great way to spend a half day with some friends on the East Coast. There is a lovely hike from Bath beach up to Martin’s Bay which is between 2-3 miles in length. It is right along the coast and follows the path of the old Barbados Railway that stopped running in the 1930’s. (At St. Nicholas Abbey, there is still an active train line as well…we will share that when we make it there.) We even found some areas along the Atlantic that brought back vivid memories of California’s Central Coast, an area we love and hiked. After arriving in Martin’s Bay, we grabbed a few cold drinks from the market/bar in town to cool off while overlooking the Atlantic. We then made our way to Sand Dunes Restaurant to try some Pudding and Souse, a Bajan Saturday Lunch Tradition. The very reasonably priced food is local Bajan cuisine and spectacular. Be sure to check out the end of the video for some tips to make the most of your half day! Hope to see you on a hike!

Thanks for tuning in and be sure to subscribe! Also…if you see us on the island…please say hi! We love connecting with people and learning from you!
