Pismo Beach is one of our absolute favorite locations to visit as a family and holds a very special place in our hearts. We started visiting the area when our oldest daughter was about 7 months old and haven’t stopped since. She sat in her first swing at Dinosaur Cave Park, has chased countless birds at Avila Beach with her little brother taking on the same feet years later. We have hiked the bluffs of Montona de Oro in good weather and cold and love to admire the Morro Bay rock. The kids grew up feeding the sea lions at the since closed Morro Bay Aquarium which was always a treat to witness. We of course have all enjoyed the infamous clam chowder at Splash Cafe time after time and have our favorite local spots for food and special treats.
Our family got away for a few days before the Thanksgiving holiday to just enjoy being together! No big plans, no stress, no agenda… here is a glimpse into our mini vacation.
