LIFE IN BARBADOS: First Day of Summer and Surf

First Day of Summer and Surf!!

This week we are celebrating the kids wrapping up their Zoom based school learning by heading to the toy store, having a dinner out of their choice and getting surf lessons! We are so thankful for the ability to learn via Zoom as it enabled the kids to keep one constant amidst all the changes surrounding them with our move to a new country. Preston missed out on his preschool graduation due to COVID and then started kindergarten via homeschooling. Kira finished her second grade year not being able to say goodbye to her teacher or classmates and entered the third grade in a virtual environment which included her never physically being amongst her teacher or classmates. Despite the challenges, these two have been incredibly resilient and we wanted to make the end of this school year special for them.

As you will see, they had a blast… as did the parents! 🙂
