A Tribute to a Dear Friend

If you are grieving, or struggling right now with a sick loved one that you can’t be with…or coming up on an anniversary of the death of a loved one who left us WAY TOO SOON…this one is for you…

In our darkest and brightest moments of life, music has a way of being the soundtrack that seems to carry us…wherever we are. It can stir our soul in a special way, that nothing else seems to don in quite the same way. Right now the grieving process for those who have lost someone (to COVID19 or anything else), or can’t be with a loved one in their final days is causing LOTS of agony…Dying can be the loneliest it has been in modern times, and that thought sparks anguish for so many. It has been a very different and challenging process for me over the past week in working through this, but music has been healing as it always is.

Through my own grieving of a recent loss and seeing so many struggling with these feelings right now…I went to the music room and came out with a medley (Pachelbel Cannon, Memories, Over the rainbow, Tears in Heaven, and No Woman No Cry) that I hope can help bring you some solace, comfort, reflection, or whatever you need. This is for you…

This is the rough cut that I shot live last night…hence the suit and tie as a tribute to pay respect to all of you and what you are going through. It is best heard with headphones or through a speaker…(also apologies, for a couple sections where this kids can be heard in the background) Devin Virassammy and I are working on releasing an actual recording of this…Stay tuned for that.

I am thinking about all of you and sending love your way. The times are hard, and this process is more difficult than ever before…but as the medley ends:

“Everything is gonna be alright!”
