LIFE IN BARBADOS- Routines and Buying a Car!

Time flies when you are having fun! ?

LIFE IN BARBADOS- Week 4:

This week we touch on the daily routines we are establishing here which include early morning productivity time- journaling, reflections, body movement and work time before the house comes alive. We then spend time as a family getting outside whether it be a walk through the neighborhood or a walk down to the beach before making our way back for school and more work time. Our evenings are spent together as well preparing dinner, often times enjoying a night swim and a lot of laughter and great conversations. We are more present with one another which has been a huge goal of ours with this transition to island life.

AND… we bought a car!! ? We are excited to have our own wheels to aide in exploring this beautiful island. Darren has adjusted well to driving on the right hand side of the car and other side of the road than what we are accustomed to in the US. The kids have loved the ability to get to their favorite fast food place, Chefette, more easily as well!

We experienced the Licensing Authority this week and luckily were prepared for the process of registering a vehicle to be a daunting one. It didn’t disappoint and we are still not completely through the process over a week later.

We are embracing the little things, rolling with the punches and completely loving the people we have met along this journey and the conversations that are taking place daily. The support from Bajans near and far has been incredible! ?? Thanks for watching!
