Old Town Sacramento Afternoon

Old Town Sacramento is one of our favorite local spots to visit whether it be for a simple afternoon strolling around along the water and through the historic buildings or for a fun evening and nice dinner. We have caught multiple music concerts over the years here, jumped on the Polar Express over the holidays and even had our engagement pictures taken in Old Town many moons ago.

The kids have loved visiting the California State Railroad Museum which is always a great spot whether it is raining or the sun is shining bright. This weekend we were lucky to have the temperatures warming up so in addition to having fun at the museum we also had a blast exploring Old Town. We caught the sunset over the water amongst the sounds of street performers singing songs and train bells ringing.

A trip to Old Town isn’t complete without having some sort of treat and this time we stopped into a favorite- Danny’s Mini Donuts. Of course the kiddos chose to have one of each flavor and squealed with excitement as they bit into each warm and gooey mini donut… licking their fingers for every last drop.

Here is a glimpse into our Saturday afternoon fun…
